How to Use:
Surface preparation is essential for optimum finish and durability. The surface needs to be clean, dry and sound, free of any contamination, which may harmfully affect the adhesion of the membrane. Maximum moisture content should not exceed 8%. New concrete structures need to dry for at least 28 days. Old, loose coatings, dirt, fats, oils, organic substances and dust need to be removed by a grinding machine. Possible surface irregularities need to be smoothened. Any loose surface pieces and grinding dust need to be thoroughly removed.
CRESTHANE PU 100 should be stirred well before using. Absorbent, highly porous and brittle substrate must be primed with CRESTHANE PU100 dilute approximately 10-15 % with clean water. All the primer coat to cure.
Apply the first layer of CRESTHANE PU 100 by roller, brush or airless spray with a film thickness of around 0.5mm. After complete dry apply the second layer also with a film thickness of 0.5mm (Dry film). For demanding applications and better waterproof ing results apply a third layer of CRESTHANE PU 100. Do not apply when rain and frost is expected in the next 48 hours. For best results the temperature during application and curing should be between 5°C to 40°C.
1.0 to 1.5 kg/m2 applied in two or three layers. This coverage is based on practical application by roller onto a smooth surface in optimum conditions. Factors like surface porosity, temperature, humidity, application method and finish required, affect highly the consumption ratio.
