Solvent based, two-component, polyurethane coating designed for the protection of masonry against abrasion, chemicals and aggressive environments. It provides excellent resistance to UV light, is colour stable, non-yellowing & will not chalk. It is available in clear or a range of colours, with gloss or matt finishes, that provides good aesthetics with an easy clean, non dusting surface.
Properties:
Excellent UV resistance
Excellent abrasion resistance
Good chemical resistance
Can be applied to many different substrates and on cured epoxy systems
Available in different color
Uses:
It is typically used to provide a decorative, colour stable coating particularly for external masonry in areas such as car parks, commercial and residential buildings, together with areas subject to abrasion or chemical attack such as warehouses, loading bays, production areas, plant & mechanical rooms and workshops.
The coloured matt finish is suitable for internal applications, particularly where low light reflectance is required such as showrooms, boutiques, communal areas, shops, offices, bars & restaurants. The clear matt version is recommended as an internal, clear protective coating applied directly on to the substrate, or in combination with other coloured CRESPROTECT coatings where low light reflectance is required.

How to Use:
Good surface preparation will give a strong adhesive & mechanical bond to the substrate.
New substrate should be fully cured with a maximum residual relative humidity (RH) of 75%. Prepare concrete surfaces preferably by mechanical methods such as angle grinding to remove laitance, curing compounds and other loose materials to provide a mechanical key for it.
After preparation, fill all blow holes and surface imperfections using CRESPOXY (see separate data sheet) to provide a smooth even surface prior to over coating. Allow 24 hours to cure and lightly abrade before over coating.
Mixing: It is essential that the mixing instructions are carefully followed to ensure the correct characteris tics of the product are achieved. Failure to do so can result in lower performance or even possible failure of the product. Mechanically mix the entire contents of the resin components together for at least 1 – 2 minutes until a uniform colour & consistency is achieved. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PART MIX MATERIALS.
Application: We recommend checking the substrate before commencing coating works to ensure is at least 3°C above dew point. Apply the first coat of mixed CRESPROTECT UVR using brushes, rollers or airless spray equipment in a continuous uniform coating, to a theoretical coverage rate of 8 - 10 m² per litre, to give an approximate dry film thickness of 50 - 60 microns.
Allow the first coat to dry prior to applying the second coat. Apply the second coat of CRESPROTECT UVR in the same manner as the first, allowing at least 24 hours drying time between coats.
