CRES®BOND SBR
SBR based bonding agent and admixture
Styrene Butadiene Rubber copolymer based product which is used in mortar and concrete as an admixture and bonding agent to increase its water resistance and durability. It is ideal for use in internal and external renderings, flooring screeds and patch repairs. It has numerous uses as an admixture, primer, bonding agent and sealer
Properties:
- Excellent adhesion to concrete, steel, stonework, masonry, etc.
- Non corrosive to steel.
- Reduces shrinkage and cracking in repair and screed mixes.
- Increases durability and flexibility.
- Ensures bonding of floor toppings, renders and repairs.
- Compatible with all types of cements
Uses:
- Bonding: For bonding of new to old concrete, tile bending and fixing of slip bricks.
- Floor screeds and toppings: Abrasion resistant and non-dusting floors.
- Admixture: As an admixture for cementitious systems. Improves the durability, waterproofing and abrasion resistance properties of mortars.
- For repairing cement and mortar.
- Waterproof renders and cementitious slurries.

How to Use:
- Make sure the surface is dry and not subject to rising or continual dampness. Clean well to remove all unsound and foreign matter i.e. mould oil, dust, laitance, grease, lime wash, distemper, emulsion paint, flaking paint, etc.
- Surfaces should be saturated with water to avoid possible backwater at the moment of casting. However, ensure that the surface is free of standing water. Prepare a bonding slurry by mixing two parts O.P. Cement to one part of CRESBOND SBR (by volume). Using a stiff brush, work the bonding slurry well into the damp surface, ensuring that no pinholes are visible. Do not apply bonding slurry at a thickness in excess of 2 mm. If a second coat is necessary, it must be applied at right angles to the first to ensure complete coverage
